In early 2020, we founded the non-profit Sweet P Bakery in Norwalk. Sweet P is dedicated to providing job training and employment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In early November 2020, we had our very first graduating class from our Baking 1 – Foundations class. In March 2021 , we graduated our first Baking 2 - Signature Items class! Our graduates then moved into our 4 week internship program and we are proud to say The Porch is what has allowed us to hire all our interns as employees”. Sweet P Bakery supplies the delicious baked goods served at The Porch. Our brand new employees bake alongside our 3 amazing pastry chefs to create all the delicious and fun treats! We can't think of a more perfect spot in town to support Sweet P Bakery's mission.
